The Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (HAOR), operated by SOCAR, stands as the cornerstone of Azerbaijan’s energy infrastructure.
Established in 1953, the refinery has evolved into a high-tech industrial complex capable of processing 21 out of 24 grades of Caspian crude oil, transforming them into vital energy products for domestic and international markets.
Our Core Operations
Our facility operates 24/7 to ensure a steady supply of high-quality petroleum products. Key operational units include:
Primary Refining
Atmospheric-vacuum units that serve as the first stage in oil processing.
Catalytic Cracking
A high-capacity unit (2.5 million tons/year) designed for the production of high-octane gasoline components.
Delayed Coking
Generating valuable petroleum coke and feedstock for the petrochemical industry.
Product Portfolio
HAOR produces 15 different types of petroleum products, meeting 100% of Azerbaijan's domestic demand while exporting nearly 45% of its output to global markets.
Transportation Fuels
Euro-5 standard Diesel and Gasoline (A-92/95/98).
Aviation
TC-1 Jet Kerosene, powering regional and international aviation.
